Power BI Report Server (September 2025) - Are Python Visuals Supported?
Hi all, I am using Power BI Report Server September 2025 (on-premises) but will upgrade to May 2026. I have a Power BI report that contains a Python visual. When opening the report, I receive the following error: "Python visuals are currently disabled in your organization." I found documentation describing the"R and Python visuals" tenant setting in the Power BI Service / Fabric Admin Portal, but Power BI Report Server does not have a corresponding tenant configuration. My questions: Are Python visuals officially supported in Power BI Report Server September 2025 (and May 2026)? If yes, where can they be enabled or configured on PBIRS? If not supported, is there any official Microsoft documentation that explicitly states this limitation? Has anyone successfully rendered Python visuals in PBIRS September 2025 (and May 2026)? I am specifically asking about Power BI Report Server (on-premises), not Power BI Service / Fabric. Thanks in advance for any clarification or official references.

Hello, please someone has a python example of how using the REST API and interacting with some dashboard inside Power BI Report server? (I mean write a code to refresh automatically a dashboard or something like that using python outside of POwer BI) It could work in a internal wnvironment (Virtual machine)? Thanks

What should not work in PBI-RS from data sources coming from python scripts?
Hello, is it true that python scripts are not supported in PBI RS? I created in PBI desktop for PBI-RS a report that retrieves data from an API consumed and processed using python scripts, I published it to the Report Server and tried to open the report, it worked well and the visuals are loaded as normal, so what are not supported about python scripts? The documentation says the following, but it is contra dictory to my tests: From the comparison between PBI Service and Server: Create Python scripts and visuals in Power BI Desktop and publish them to the Power BI service. You can't save Power BI reports with Python scripts or visuals to Power BI Report Server. Please clarify this topic for me, thanks in advance

How to take an input string on Power Bi server that then would be passed to a Python script
Hi all, I have a Python script as my data source that that goes something like that: user_date = input() query = "select ... from... where date = '{}'".format(user_date) df = pd.read_sql(query, conn) print(df)" I want the user to enter the data on the Pwer Bi reporting server (or preferably choose from a drop down menu that has the last 30 days' dates) and then this date would be passed to the python script somehow so it'd run and query the correct data. How to use Python on top of a queried data table?
HI, I want to use Python on top of a via ODBC queried data table. What is neccessary for that? Install Python on the Report Server? On my local machine? Choose the interpreter? Is there a guide to follow? And how to set the link to the queried data? I guess Python is working with Pandas. Appreciate any help

Scheduling data refresh for python script data source
Hello Guyz, I created this report with a python script which extracts data from a mongodb using an aggregation query, I have successfully pulished the report to the PowerBI premise server which is what we cureently have. But I noticed the report is not refreshing when I view it, as the last refresh datetime is not changing. I read from some articles out there that data refresh only happens when you view the report, which I did and but last refesh time is not changing. I will greatly appreciate your contribution on how to get this report to refresh. Thank you.

Data query with python script embodied in can't be refreshed on PowerBI server
The data query can be refreshed successfully in desktop, but it doesn't work when scheduling refresh on Power bi server, the error message is"The import Python.Execute matches no exports", could anyone give me a hand if you ever met this issue? We are struggling on this.

Scheduled Refresh and Python script for data transformation
Hello, I created a report that uses Python script to add new column on my existing dataset. import pandas as pd dataset["TEST"] = 1 When i refresh data in Desktop, everything is ok, but when i upload report on my Reporting Server and set scheduled refresh it didn't worsk, i got this error: The import Python.Execute matches no exports. Did you miss a module reference?. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface And status of my schedule: Data source error: Login failed for data source ‘Unknown’. I have installed Python on my server, when I refresh report in Desktop on my server it works fine. That happens with any simple Python script. Can someone help me with that issue?
