Hi! I had a strange problem. We connected to postgresql database and checked it in PBI report server, everything is completed and saved, without any errors. We had a problem when trying to make an autorefresh of report in PBI report server: " An error has occurred. Please try again later." And after that on page we can see the pop up with this error and 'loading'. Please, if you have any ideas what to do, shared with me.3.7KViews0likes6CommentsCustom visuals do not render in browser
We have issue with any custom visual that we include in PBIX files that we upload to our local PowerBI Report Server. Report works fine with default visuals, and also works fine with any custom visual while we work with PowerBI Desktop for RS. Within PowerBI Desktop for RS (latest version) all visuals render and work correctly. But if we save report to our PowerBI Report Server and browse it with web browser, it does not render any custom visual, only default visuals. In place of any custom visual it gives error "To see this custom visual, add it to this report first". PowerBI Report Server has full access to internet. Result is same regardless how we set property "EnableCDNVisuals". I would appreciate any help, since there is almost no information on internet about this error.Solved6.3KViews0likes15CommentsEmail subscription on PBI report server

Hi all, in our organisation we have private cloud where we are hosting 2 Report Servers: RnD and Production. RnD is reachable via HTTP and Production is reachable via HTTPS. Each server has its own private network. For production server we have certificate installed and Kerberos is working. All users can access both server. PBIX reports work fine on the server Using "Upload" button from portal we can deploy PBIX files from our machines on both servers but only on HTTP (RnD server) we can use "Save As" option in Power BI Desktop (Version: 2.51.4885.1423 64-bit (October 2017)) to deploy reports. When we specify url for PRODUCTION server (HTTPS) we have "Server is not reachable" message. Does HTTPS Save As option works on specific PORT that we need to open in firewall on our private network? Or it is something else? Thanks in advance. Dejan2.8KViews0likes4CommentsHow to enter the product key, after Evaluation install
We have installed the Jan 2022 Power BI Report Server and Desktop for RS, and selected evaluation during the intial install. We now want to license this server, and our licensing group have provided us with the Product Key. I have tried uninstalling Power BI RS and reinstalling, and the install is successful, but I am not prompted to choose which edition to install or prompted to enter the product key. Using the repair option has the same affect. The OS is Server 2016. The install file is called PBiDesktopRS_x64.msi , from the Jan 2022 download. In control panel this install appears as Microsoft Power BI Desktop (January 2022) (x64) and the version shows as 2.100.1381.0 The icon on the desktop does the "RS" in the graphic.Solved2.2KViews0likes1CommentDate/Time Parameters in SSRS Linked Reports (PBIRS September 2021)
Hello, My organization is using PowerBI via an application that also hosts SSRS reports; currently Power BI September 2021 update is in place. There is a problem that is occurring with SSRS linked reports. When attempting to set default parameters for a linked report, PBIRS will not allow you to "Apply" the changes if there are any date/time parameters on the report UNLESS you set values for those date/time parameters. The message "A valid datetime value is required" appears, even if the RDL in question does not mark these parameters as required in its design. In previous versions of SSRS, this was not necessary. Is this fixed in a later version? Or is this a bug.Solved2KViews0likes3Commentshistorical load and update every 15 days to the data power bi desktop report server (sep 2021)

Hi, I have a Development PowerBI Report Server setup with - Version: 1.9.7675.15620 (Build 15.0.1104.300), Released: January 8, 2021 thats been in operation for over a year and planning to upgrade to latest version. However when trying to use the RSConfigTool.exe (Report Server Configuration manager) from the actual report server or another report server, it does not find the Report Server instance and there is no error to assist troubleshooting. All other PBI RS setups we have connect fine. I'm comparing this Dev Setup with the other working environments i.e QA, UAT and PROD and cannot find any differences. Any other ideas what the problem could be here and how to resolve this? Thanks DarrenSolved3.6KViews0likes4CommentsConfigure https with Powerbi Report Server
