I'm working on a project where we have an MQTT GPS locator on our site. We want to display that locator's current location. We are sending the sensor's data to a Streaming Dataset. I can see and create a table with all of the updates (I have a timestamp and an "ID" where I'm evaluating the time in UNIX format to give a unique identifier). I want to show the current location, therefore the most recent snapshot. I keep getting stuck evaluating the last row due to DirectQuery restrictions. I finally got calculate(max...)) and lookupvalue to give me a single latitude and longitude, but when I put those into the Map visual I get "To display latitude and longitude pairs, set the aggregate for Latitude and Longitude to Don't summarize" which I can't do with a measure. I was worried Map was aggregating the values anyway (dispite there being only one value), but I can't make a measure that it will take as a Location. Feeling stuck on something seemingly simple!!!!Solved1KViews0likes5CommentsCombining Multiple Measures into a Unified Pie Chart Overlay on Power BI Map
Hello Power BI community! I have measures for sales, gains, and losses. I aim to display their aggregate in a pie chart overlay on a map (power bi default map - not Azure Map), segmented by measure type. I have the location set on town name and it works fine but I just need the measure to show in one bubble. Essentially, the measures would be in the legend and the value. For instance, a town might display 25M in sales, 21M in gains, and 12M in losses. While I can visualize each measure independently on the map and segment with a dimension column in the legend, I need a unified view for all three measures that is segmented by the measure type. How can I achieve this with the measure as the dimension in Power BI? I believe I am looking for a calculated table with a switch statement, but I am not sure.994Views0likes1CommentSpecify a number of map points within a certain distance
I am working with Longitude-Latitude values using the default powerBi map visualization. I want to be able to specify a certain distance and also be able to specify how many map points will be displayed within that radius. For example I would like maps to plot 500 or less lat-long points within any 1 mile radius in the US. Just to be clear, maps should plot all map points within the US that are quantity 500 or less in any 1 mile radius. Can anyone help me to solve this in PowerBi or is there any other visualization tool in powerBi that can help me to do this?1.4KViews0likes3Comments
