Hello, The community helped me create a waterfall chart using DAX at the following link: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/Waterfall-Challenge/m-p/4942137#M1456881 The data I’m using is as follows: index cat value 1 Budget NPAT 4,261,532 2 Gross Margin 2,733,696 3 Variable Costs -280,573 4 3rd Party Cost Recovery -435,951 5 Other Income 32,571 6 Fixed Costs 1,324,187 7 Support Cost 738,378 8 Depreciation -664,124 9 Bad Debt Provision 799,823 10 Finance Exp & Inc -1,537,797 11 Income Tax -637,201 12 Actual NPAT 6,334,541 The challenges I’m facing: I want the data labels to appear above the boxes. Can the Actual NPAT start from zero? It’s very high as shown in the attached image. want to set the color of Actual NPAT to #A4D233 and the color of Budget NPAT to #389BBD.
Visualisation (Slicer and Button Slicer)
Hi everyone, I hope you all have a nice day. I want to ask (pictures attached), I gave an example of me using visualisation of "Button Slicer (Top)" and "Slicer (Bottom)" in the picture, I have a table where I have Reporting Date column then I make custom column for the quarters and months. The "Year" in the slicer is from Reporting Date hieararchy (Year), but the quarter and month in the slicer, they both are custom column that I made from the Reporting Date column (so they are not the hieararchy of "Reporting Date"). My questions (I don't mind if you answer with "Slicer" visualisation or "Button Slicer" visualisation): In Picture 1, If I select Q1 and it turns grey, how do the visualisation slicer for months turns black (for Jan, Feb, Mar) without me selecting the Quarter slicer? In Picture 2, If I select any month (for example: Aug) and it turns black, how do the visualisation slicer for quarter turns grey (Q2) without me selecting the Quarter slicer? In Picture 3, If I select Year "2025" and it turns black, how do the visualisation slicer for quarter and months also turns black without me selecting Quarter and Month slicer? Extending Deneb/Vega-Lite Toggle Switch from 2-State to 3-State (Working Day / Non-Working Day / All
Hi everyone, In my dataset, I have a flag column called “Is Working Day”, which contains values of either 0 or 1. I’ve created a toggle switch in Deneb using Vega-Lite, allowing users to switch between viewing only working days (1) and showing all records (no filter applied). This is achieved with the following condition in the calculate property: { "calculate": "datum['IsWorkingDay'] == 1 ? 'Working Day' : 'All'", "as": "Option_Name" } Now, I’d like to extend this functionality to support a 3-state toggle switch with the following behavior: First click: Show records where datum['IsWorkingDay'] == 1 (Working Days) Second click: Show records where datum['IsWorkingDay'] == 0 (Non-Working Days) Third click: Show All records (no filter) Does anyone have suggestions or examples of how this 3-click toggle logic could be implemented in Vega-Lite within Deneb? I had Month on x axis Cost on y axis and some 20+ legends which is reflecting as stack bar in power bi. as legend is stings they are not showing as full name . I have created a custom date slicer visual. We are hiding/unhiding it with bookmarks in our report. Because of this the visual is destroyed when it is hidden and re-rendered when unhidden. I can use persistProperties to save the selected date range and retrieve it when the visual is unhidden. My issue is that on first load of the report I would like the date slicer to defualt to YTD calculation. How can I distinguish between the frist time the visual is rendered and subsequent renders after the visual is hidden and unhidden?
How to set the Date Slicer between End date as Refresh date of Dataset everyday happens?
Hello Team, I have a Date Slicer Between and it has From date To date selected by default based on the date available. Also i have a scheduled refresh every day.After refresh is completed To_date field should point to the date max date available from the dataset refreshed by default. Hi, I am developing a custom table visual to create a writeback solution. I am using Direct Query and a Databricks SQL warehouse as my backend. I keep running into "The resultset of a query to external data source has exceeded the maximum allowed size of '1000000' rows." error. I set the data reduction algorithm to 100 rows and still get this error. I load a bunch of columns from my fact table but as soon as I add a related column from my dim table I get this error. Any idea what can cause this?
