I want my Fabric Data Factory to get triggered when a csv file is placed in Azure blob storage. I tried creating a trigger where I connected the Azure storage account. When I give name to my Reflex and click create, instead of successfully creating Trigger Reflex, it fails by giving the following error. Request failed with 404 (Not Found): {"error":{"code":"PowerBIFeatureDisabled","pbi.error":{"code":"PowerBIFeatureDisabled","parameters":{},"details":[],"exceptionCulprit":1}}} Error message: There was an error in alert creation. Please try again later. How to resolve this.Solved2.7KViews0likes1CommentData Activator Power BI Report Alert Refresh Rate
Hello, I have a Power BI Report setup with a table that reads from an Azure SQL table which gets refreshed in real time from a Synapse pipeline run with logging data. I have an alert set to listen when New Data Arrives, which should be only a handle of rows at a time. But currently there are two issues or limitations which I wanted to clarify. 1. The Reflex is triggering for every row of data in the table within the report every single hour, instead of it triggering for only the new rows. How can I set up the data to only trigger for the new data, or is there an issue here being that we're in preview? 2. The refresh rate for Data Activator reading data from Power BI Reports is defaulted to 1hour? Is there anywhere I can get this closer to real time or making any changes. I know that when this was first introduced last year the option to select refresh rate was there however it isn't anymore? Ideally I want a way for the Data Activator reflex to trigger in real time as soon as the Power BI report gets refreshed and there's new data there.Solved8.5KViews0likes5CommentsAdding a PowerBI Report Link to Teams/Email Message
Is it possible to add an option to include a link to the powerbi reports the events are being sourced from in the Act/Alert area? I'm trying to set up logic where a trigger occurs when employee turnover meets a certain threshold, and then provide a link to the powerbi report so the leader can see a table of the most recent employee exits. Right now, the trigger Teams/Email message would send user just to the reflex.2.1KViews0likes3CommentsEvent Stream Data to OneLake
As reflexes are taking periodic snapshots of powerbi data, we're seeing a use case where we could add properties and measures to a certain level of granularity and change that into a trending table. For example, historical snapshots of sales pipeline or forecasted revenue per day by 1-2 property categories (i.e. Region). it looks like the data is cached inside the reflex, was wondering if we could extract it for additional powerbi views. could be a lightweight way to create trending views.1.8KViews0likes2CommentsWe will be deleting old Power BI triggers on Friday 15 Sep
Hello all, Please note that this Friday, 15 September, we will be deleting Data Activator triggers created from Power BI before July 2. If you have Power BI triggers that you created before July 2 that you are still using, then you will need to recreate them. We apologise for any inconvenience. This step is necessary to allow us to release a particular bug fix. The deletion will delete the triggers plus their associated event streams. It will leave intact any reflex items and objects associated with the triggers.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsDocumentation Suggestion - Creating Reflex Artifact
In the documentation: https://github.com/microsoft/dataActivator/blob/main/ConsolidatedDocs.md under section Reflex items in Fabric or before "Getting Started from a Power BI Report", I would recommend inserting steps with screenshots to guide people to create a Reflex item in the workspace. That will be a new experience for people especially since you will be asked to navigate to a new screen when you click "Show All".2.9KViews1like4CommentsEditing Trigger UI - Leverage Power Automate's look-and-feel
After working with the design mode for a Reflex artifact, I feel that the experience for editing a trigger could be better. You can add steps based on a set of events and the steps are added to the bottom in order. This layout lacks the look-and-feel that something like Power Automate provides where arrows indicate direction and the new step button and save button are apparent (example below). Prior to Data Activator, I know many folks who used Power Automate (coupled with Power BI Execute Query step) to do what the trigger interface is trying to accomplish. Why not leverage that UI design.1.6KViews0likes1Comment
