gateway issue
11 TopicsCan't connect to Oracle 19 through on prem gateway
We have the 3000.89.6 version of the on prem gateway and are trying to connect to oracle using the 64bit 19.3 ODAC and get the following message when trying to add the datasource. The provider being used is deprecated: 'System.Data.OracleClient requires Oracle client software version 8.1.7 or greater.' We have followed the instructions in the git at Oracle ODAC 18 is supported with additional steps · Issue #2147 · MicrosoftDocs/powerbi-docs · GitHub and made sure there was no space between the colon in the .NET version. Any help would be appreciated. We are able to successfully connect from Power BI Desktop installed on the gateway server. The OS is x64, the gateway services should be x64 as well, correct?2.1KViews0likes6CommentsUnable to view my own report online - LOSING MY MIND

Hello all, Is anyone able to help, I was previously able to publish reports to our workspace from the PowerBI desktop and share this report with members of team, with members able to access the report. However, after publishing a recent report, and trying to access the report via the web application, a no gateway error message appeared However, gateway on premise was never installed and there are no personal gateways, but we are unable to untick this as it has been greyed out Any help on how to navigate this will be appreciated! Hello, I recently got a new machine from my company's IT department. With it, we had to install a new gateway (on-premise). It appears to be online, but when I try to connect a data source I get an "invalid creditials" error. The thing that puzzles our IT department is that the same credintials on the same data source work on the old machine with the old gateway. The gateways seem identical, but there must be something off on the new one. Please help!!1KViews0likes4CommentsRefresh from Gateway wrong. but manual refresh correct... need help

Hello, I have two servers connecting to the same On Premises Gateway Cluster using the same service account. This being in the same cluster, I tried running some tests to see how cluster will behave when one of the servers goes down. For continuity (High availability) sake I want to take all steps that will make sure PowerBI Reports won't fail even if one of the gateway servers goes down. I have following two questions: 1. How to force Secondary Gateway Server to be Primary? I tried "Migrate, restore, or take over", this option is not always available when I shut down service/server on Primary end. It was available only once when I shut down Primary. After that I tried to reproduce the scenario again but it didn't work. 2. How to automate the entire High Availability? If Primary Goes down, how do we make secondary to be primary automatically without manual intervention. Thank you Dinesh Pohane1.6KViews0likes1CommentOn Premise Gateway and Gateway Clusters
Hi everyone, we are having some issues figuring out the Gateways on the Power BI Servers. We have one gateway set up that has worked well so far. The issue is that when another employee uploads a report to the workspace it connects with the gateway and it says that the connection was succesful. But, then an error is thrown saying "This data source cannot connect to all gateway instances of the cluster. Please find more details below about specific errors for each gateway instance". We have also tried to set up more gateways in the cluster but with no luck on that so far. Thank you for the help! Here is the error pictureSolved2.8KViews0likes4Comments
