evaluation
4 TopicsChanging developer to evaluation license
I am trying to change the developer edition to the evaluation edition. Nothing is technically in production and all is still development within my internship project. But i would like to have the possibility open to change it to an evaluation when data will be used because from my understanding there are 180 days of evaluation where the PBRIS can be used for production, after that a license needs to be bought. Is this correct? this is currently the scenario, where the next button is grey. ty in advance.Solved1.3KViews0likes1Comment180 days evaluation copy has expired - help with licensing PowerBI Report Server
Till today we used PowerBI Report Server evaluation version for 180 days. Suddenly it stops working, without any errors, but when I checked the .log files I realized that the license had expired. Now we have 2 options: To use PowerBI Desktop version for the reports; To buy e license key. Question 1: In our company only few people use PowerBI - 2-3 viewers and only me - creator and manager of the reports. Can you advise me what to do with the licensing, how does it cost for our situation and what are the steps? Question 2: Is it possible to restore the .pbix files (reports) from the server, are they located somewhere and how to restore it?Solved18KViews1like4CommentsCan't get off Evaluation Version
So, we have an issue with not being able to connect to the report portal. We get "connection refused." We realized that we are still running on "Evaluation Version." This may be causing the issue??? When we attempt to enter our License key, it seems to take it but then the version still says evalution. We've tried running the installer and using "upgrade" and "repair." We've also tried changing to "developer edition" to see if that would work, but it just still tells us we are running evaluation. Any ideas on how we get past this?1.3KViews0likes1Comment
