When trying the new "Dataflow Gen2", an error of "There was a problem refreshing the dataflow. Please try again later. (Request ID: aa7e41ba-d6a9-47df-8d67-e5a3c98146b2)." persists. To test, I have an exact copy of the same Dataflow but non "Gen2". This one is running without issue, suggesting that the issue is specific to the Gen2. The source is a SQL Server through a Gateway. The Gateway is up to date (May 2023)74KViews5likes22CommentsHow to auto send emails with details in power bi
Hi all, I have created a table in power bi. And the data source will update every day. I need to send an email to a public mail box every day and in the email body is the full table from power bi, not the link of power bi dashboard. Or even it can be an excel file attached in the email. So how to make it happen automatically? Can I achieve this through set flow? Thanks a lot!Solved73KViews0likes3CommentsBIgQuery Account Permissions
Good morning. I have been having some trouble updating my PowerBI service lately. I am receiving a message that states: Processing error: ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][BigQuery] (131) Unable to authenticate with Google BigQuery Storage API. Check your account permissions. When I update from PowerBI desktop it works just fine, then I have to save and publish manually. I'd like to get back to the service updating automatically in the middle of the night so numbers are valid at the start of our day. Unfortunately, no matter how many times I reconnect to BigQuery via the Data Source Credentials it still gives me the error. I have reached out to MSFT support but they claim it's a google bigquery issue. I've reached out to Google but they claim if it works in desktop and not in service it's an MSFT issue. Power BI dataflows enable you to connect to, transform, combine, and distribute data for downstream analytics. Some users hope to monitor refresh history and status of dataflows so that they can make refresh plans for datasets that use these dataflows. In this article, I will introduce three methods to get refresh history of Power BI dataflows.54KViews7likes4CommentsYou don't have permission to export underlying data
Hi, I create a dataset using import option from the SQL Database. I want to export all the rows used to make a table visualization, and export underlying data option is disabled and says that (You don't have permission to export underlying data), and when I export the data using the summarized data option it doesn't give me all the rows. What is the solution could it be related to the database permission?Solved52KViews0likes3CommentsFailed to update data source credentials: The credentials provided for the OData source are invalid.
Currently I have an issue with Refreshing the dataset that I uploaded to the Power BI web service. Please note that it works and able to refresh the data totally fine in Power BI Desktop. The issue is in the data source connected to Odata Feed I wanted to get all of my Microsoft Planner task data with this method, and based on a few reference requires me to use Microsoft Graph Explorer. I am utilizing my organization account and have a Power BI pro license. The following error message is returned when attempting to refresh in Power BI service: I attempted to re-establish the credentials but the same error persisted. Other sources such as SharePoint and dataflow do not exhibit any issues and refresh properly. The error only surfaces from the Odata Feed connection where I utilized Microsoft Graph Explorer to retrieve the task data in Microsoft Planner. I tried connecting the data source (OData Feed) to a Power BI dataflow, also returns the same error. Any assistance would be highly appreciated, as I have spent the entire day trying to resolve this issue without any progress.43KViews1like25CommentsDataflows Error: Access token has expired resubmit with a new access token..
Hello I have a bigger data flow which has the following Architecture: Workspace 1: (Premium Capacity, new workspace type) 1:1 copy of a SQL Source. 10 Dataflows with each one entity. Each dataflow is for example one year of data. no transformation happens, it is up and running good without error. Workspace 2: (Premium Capacity, new workspace type) I linked each of the 10 dataflow to one single dataflow in this workspace. this dataflow has therefore 10 enties linked. after that i created a new query in this flow, appening the 10 entities. Its about 50 GB of uncompressed data. When I try to refresh this dataflow now, sometimes after 1 hour, sometines after 5 hours i get the following error message: Failed,Error: Access token has expired resubmit with a new access token.. RootActivityId = xxxxxxxxxxx .Param1 = Access token has expired resubmit with a new access token Request ID: yyyyyyyyyyy any Idea? I have created an App Workspace and published some of the reports within the Workspace using the 'Entire Organization' radio button in the Access tab for the App. Next I have created a new Dataflow within the same workspace and I want to allow others to take advantage of the work have done, but none of the other Pro users in the company can see the new Dataflow. I cannot find anywhere specific to the Dataflows that controls sharing or permissions. Please can someone advise me how I share read access to the Dataflow? Thank you!Solved40KViews0likes10Comments
