ENG Hi everyone, I’m using horizontal bar charts and have seen several tutorials showing how to turn them into funnel charts . However, when working with more than one measure on the X-axis, I’m unable to customize the colors of individual bars. I would like to suggest that Power BI allow users to customize the bar colors on the Y-axis based on the selected metric, either by function or by parameter. Does anyone know if there is currently a way to do this, or is there a workaround? If not, I’d like to put this forward as a feature request. This video shows a practical example of what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAuUP191My4 Thanks! Funnel chart – how to display more than one value?
ENG Hi everyone, When using the native Power BI funnel visual, we typically add the category (e.g., stages of a sales funnel) and a measure in the values field. However, I often need to display more than one value, such as the number of opportunities at each stage and the average ticket value for those opportunities. I know it’s possible to add the average ticket to the tooltip, but users often want to see both numbers directly on the visual without hovering. In horizontal bar charts, we can customize the data label to show the value and series detail, as well as adjust label positioning. I’ve tried various funnel visuals, but I would like the native funnel chart to offer more flexibility in customization, similar to other visuals that have evolved over time. Does anyone have a tip or workaround for this? If not, I’d like to submit this as a feature request. Thanks! Obrigado!Created a DAX Query Tutorial Video on Youtube

Hi! I am attempting to plot test data for numerous samples. I am trying to plot standard deviation of a certain value vs another field and add the test sample to the legend, so I can filter out the samples. When I add the the sample test to the Legend it plots the standard deviation as all zeros. I have confirmed this is not the case. Any suggerstions? I've tried scatter plots and line plots. How to Find Nearest Elements to a Selected Item Using X and Y Coordinates in Power BI?
Hello everyone, I'm working on a Power BI report with data that includes X and Y coordinates for each item. I'd like to implement a feature that allows users to select an item and see a list or table displaying the closest items to it. I was able to calculate the distance of each item to a fixed coordinate in a column, but I couldn’t make that reference coordinate change based on the item selected in the slicer. Current Setup: A dataset with X and Y coordinates columns for each item. A data slicer that allows the selection of a specific item. Objective: Calculate the distance between the selected item and other items. Sort these items based on their proximity to the selected item. Display the nearest items in a table or other visualization in Power BI. Questions: Is it possible to achieve this directly in Power BI using DAX or any other built-in functionality? Is there an alternative approach to display the nearest items based on coordinates, perhaps using a map visual or a custom visual in Power BI? Thank you in advance for any suggestions or DAX examples you can provide!Solved1.2KViews0likes4CommentsMatrix Table with multiple layers breakdown
Hello guys, I have a question that is challenging me and I am struggling to find the write way to visualize it in a matrix table. I have a table as below and I want to create a matrix table where It will show me the headers as the first row and then the breakdown will be Project name, WBSE code, contract number however The key question is how would I make the project name row shows the key numbers and then the wbse row shows only the values set to it without repeating the values above and similarily the contract number values while wbse and contract values will sum to the initial project name row values. Is that possible? Project Name XYZ Location ERP Number Money Allocated Money Spent Money Saved Actuals Total Budget New Total New Budget Department 2 Contract price Project 1 Calgary ZH-000123 $ 50,000 $ 750,000 $ 25,000 $ 5,000 $ 830,000 $ 792,500 $ 150,000 $ 280,000 $ 10,000 Pro - 1 - WBSE $ 25,000 $ - $ 25,000 $ 5,000 $ 55,000 $ 42,500 $ 25,000 $ 30,000 $ 10,000 Contract 1 $ - Contract 2 $ 10,000 Pro 2 - WBSE 2 $ 25,000 $ 750,000 $ - $ - $ 775,000 $ 750,000 $ 125,000 $ 250,000 $ - Contract 3 $ -How to get a column with 0 value inside the table
Anonymous Under Column Incident Priority, there are mainly four values, 1-Critical, 2-High, 3-Moderate, 4-Low There are no critical incidents reported for the selected period. And hence when I drag this column into the table, it simply doesn't show 1-Critical. However, the client want to see all priorities regardless there is any incidents reported or not. I tried selecting option 'Show Items with no data' but that doesn't work. Does someone know any other option?484Views0likes0CommentsAbility to create a measure based on selection for a visual OR use anotheslicer if none is selected?
Hi Everyone, I'm going to try my best to articulate what I'm looking for, but I have a bar chart where my x axis is fiscal years (last 10 years) and my Y axis is how much money was spent for each. I also have a gauge that shows total spent and paid visual as well. My issue I'm having is I want my gauge to default to this fiscal year we're in, but update if another fiscal year from the bar chart is selected. My problem i'm having is I dont know if there is a way to set it to default if nothing is selected. Right now with all the bar chart's FYs showing the gauge is totaling all of them up together which is inaccurate since our FYs act in silo's so I dont want mass total. So I want the guage to be this FY or adjust if a single year from the chart is selected and if nothing in the chart is selected then gauge goes back to the current FY. I'm hoping i'm making sense. Is this even possible? What I tried to do is add a FY slicer with today's FY as the first/default so that keeps the guage for this FY and turn off the bar chart to filter from that slicer, but then if i select a year from the bar chart to view the guage is blank. I am hoping there's a way to create a measure and reference the selected item from the chart otherwise use the FY slicer i added or something like that. Thank you!1.4KViews0likes5CommentsMinimum Width for Stacked Column Chart
Why is the minimum column width limited to 20 px in a stacked column chart when the X-Axis uses a dimension other than date? I've attached 2 screenshots the first one, i am able to fit over a hundred bars into a small space (first image), but if i want to use category labels the bars are super wide and I have to scroll way to the right to see everything (second image). It would be impossible for me to overstate how frustrating this is.
