Granting external user access to a workspace
Hi all, Having an issue with granting an external user access to a workspace. I've set up the user in Azure AD as a Guest. I've enabled "Allow Azure Active Directory guest users to edit and manage content" via the Power BI Admin Portal. I've sent an invite to the guest user. We have Power BI Pro license. External users also has Power BI Pro license. When I try to add the guest user as a member or contributor to the workspace, I'm getting the following error: Any thoughts on why I'm not able to add the guest external user to the workspace? Do they need to accept the invite first? Is there a way I can accept the invite for them or confirm them another way?Re: Granting external users access to a workspace in power BI service
hi aj1973, I know it has been some time since you encountered this issue but I'm running into the same thing. I've enbabled "Allow external guest users to edit and manage content in the organization". And have added my external user as a guest. I am not able to add the user to a Workspace. Hi Gao, Thank you very much for your reply! The dataflow resides in a shared capacity. It contains just 4 small dimension tables so I don't believe the size is an issue. I checked out the link you provided but it only refers to Excel sources. The source for my dataflow is Oracle. Not clear on what you mean regarding re-editing the data source credentials. On the dataflow? I've tried deleting and re-creating the dataflow with the same credentials but it didn't help. Doesn't look like you can edit the existing credentials on a dataflow? The dataset refresh that is failing is connecting to both the dataflow and other Oracle tables. There is not an option to edit the credentials. It shows as follows:
