Salesforce Reports Broken when Grouped
As far as I can tell there is no support in Service for grouping by date so as an attempted workaround I created a summary report in Salesforce (technically we use a force.com CRM) that had such grouping. I created a new dataset that imported the regular report and the grouped report and while all the fields are available on the regular report as expected, the only fields available on the grouped report are "Record Count" and "Sale: Net On" the latter of which is the date field used to create the groups in the Salesforce report. What additional information can I provide you to help troubleshoot this issue?
Power bi license
Hi Everyone!! I created a one power bi report & published in a workspace.In my organization i only had the pro account license.So my manager suggested me to create a web page and link to our dashboard to that webpage. after this webpage should be hosted in one system.In that by using my credentials the dashboard should be hosted.Whatever we are planning to do means with out authentication the internal users should access that dashboard.No one is having license.By using my account credentials they want to do this. suggest me how to do this? Hey, I'm stuck. I have a problem: I created a report that loads extremely quickly on Igels in a workspace that's been around for a long time. But that workspace isn't meant for that. So I created a new workspace with the same license and the same settings, etc. In this new workspace, it feels like my report isn't loading at all. The text shows up, but every chart or table takes a full 10 minutes to load. I’ve already spent many days trying to find the error, even with the help of AI, but I can’t find it. Salesforce Report Problem with lastest Power BI Update
Hi, I'm having an issue importing 3 salesforce reports into Power BI. Here are a few things to note: - problem started after I did a Power BI update a couple of weeks ago - I've been using these 3 salesforce reports to generate a dashboard for the last year with no problems - the salesforce report is pulling the right data. Verified by downloading the data into an excel file - power bi seems to be bringing in the wrong data and am not sure why - I also get the following error when importing data for one of the 3 reports OLE DB or ODBC error: Type mismatch. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80020005 (DISP_E_TYPEMISMATCH)). Any ideas on what might be causing this problem? Thank you!
Power BI Image URLs from Tenant-Secured SharePoint – Intermittent Rendering Issues
Hi everyone, I’m experiencing ongoing issues with displaying image URLs in Power BI reports and apps, and I’m struggling to identify a reliable solution. Context We store employee/user headshots as image URLs in a user lookup table within the models. These images are used across multiple reports for UI elements such as: Logged-in user icons Employee of the Month visuals Leaderboards and other internal dashboards The images are hosted in a company SharePoint folder maintained by our Marketing team. All employees have view permissions to this SharePoint location (not anonymous access). Issue 1 – Power BI Service / Teams When opening reports in Power BI Service or via Teams, some images load correctly while others appear as broken image links. If I manually open the SharePoint image folder in my browser (authenticating via our tenant) and then refresh the report, the images display correctly. However, this only persists temporarily, typically by the next day the images are broken again. This makes me suspect an authentication, cookie, or caching issue rather than an issue with the URLs themselves. Issue 2 – Digital Signage We also surface these reports via a digital signage solution on screens around multiple offices. In this scenario, none of the SharePoint-hosted images render, they consistently show as broken links. Interestingly, the images display correctly in the digital signage platform’s preview, but fail once pushed to the physical screens. My assumption here is that the signage devices do not have the required authentication context (cookies / tokens) to access tenant-secured SharePoint images. Question Has anyone encountered similar behaviour when using SharePoint-hosted image URLs in Power BI? Is there a known or recommended approach for handling image authentication/caching issues like this? Are there better-practice alternatives for hosting images used in Power BI (especially for digital signage scenarios)? Would a different hosting method (e.g. public blob storage, CDN, base64 encoding, etc.) be more appropriate? Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I’ve struggled to find clear documentation or examples covering this use case. CONTEXT: Power BI Premium WS. We have implement this security architecture for a specific Entra Group X: XXX-SemanticModels Workspace: None Sales Semantic Layer: Read, Build XXX-Sales Reporting Workspace: none XXX-Sales App: part of the Audience Report level: Read We currently use CI-CD pipelines to deploy the structure across enviroments (yaml, powershell, Power BI REST API, etc) ISSUE: We have an issue with the last bullet: Report level: Read permission. On one hand, it seems we need this permisson (despite the Power BI App documentation) otherwise users cannot see the content of the App. On the other hand, there's No Report-Level API for "Read" or "Reshare" so everytime we re-deploy a report, this permission is gone. Any advice? TIA
