Agreed! It drives me absolutely insane that Microsoft checks off ideas for new visuals as soon as somebody submits a custom visual for that idea without any vetting process. Microsoft even tells you they have not vetted the custom visuals whenever you download them. You simply cannot say you have completed a new feature add when you are unwilling to stand behind the quality of it. Microsoft either needs to create a vetting process that a visual must pass before they get to close out all the ideas related to that visual, or allow folks to submit custom visual versions but leave the ideas open until Microsoft has officially added them as out-of-the-box visuals (should also ship with all future releases in order to be checked off as complete). You cannot even change data colors for the vast majority of them which makes them useless for professional quality dashboard creation.876Views0likes0CommentsRe: Change frame for Visuals
Please allow us to make the header bar transparent. I would also like the ability to make the drill down menu options permanently visible instead of only when a user hovers over the visualization. The ability to change the percentage of data labels was recently added to line charts. Currently it is only available on the line chart and when the x-axis is set to continuous. This is a great feature that I would like to see implemented in all visuals. However, it is highly unusable in it's current implementation due to the requirement that it be continuous. It means that I cannot have nice names for my date axis for example (like viewing your date axis by month name instead of number), nor can I set custom fiscal year date displays. Ideally, data density would be an available control on all visualizations that would allow you to just get call outs for high and low points for example rather than every single point on a line or every single column, etc.260Views46likes1CommentBetter Slicer Formatting for Ranges (timeline view), Horizontal view, and Dropdown menus
The timeline view for slicers was a recent addition when using date fields with the out of the box slicer visualization. However, your ability to format it is quite limited. This view should be available to fields other than dates (like a max/min price range for example). In timeline view, it has a location to enter a start and end date manually. I would like the ability to turn these on or off. I would also like the ability to control their display location similar to legend values, or set the start box at the beginning of the range line and end value at the end of it. Currently I am forced to leave both in the top left corner. I would also like the ability to label them so I know what values they are representing. With the Horizontal slicer view, I would like the ability to format the colors for all conditions (selected, unselected, hover, etc.). Currently, the formatting is forced to black for selected items and we do not have the ability to alter the color of selected items background or text. With Dropdown menus, we do not have the ability to alter the formatting of the visual when it is showing the full dropdown range. I would like to be able to change the text and background colors from black text on white background.292Views8likes3Comments
