Filterable average visualization (avg of all years)
In a Power BI Service dashboard, using incident data (date column in a SharePoint list; incident rows from 2010 to present): I want a visualization that shows the total average over all the years -- it's a single average metric like "Average Incidents: 114.2 per year". And I want that average to be interactive at the page level. If I filter the page on the year column in the filter pane (or use any other filter), I want the Average Incidents metric to dynamically reflect the filter. Is there a way to do that in a Power BI Service visualization?
Error to refresh Power BI in service online.
Over the past week, I’ve been having a lot of trouble refreshing my BI reports in the online service. For some dashboards, the refresh process throws an error, yet the error disappears when I perform the refresh on my desktop. The behavior is inconsistent—sometimes the BI report refreshes online, and other times it fails, with no discernible pattern. The errors I receive either indicate a lack of memory (which is impossible, as the dashboard is relatively small) or claim that columns are missing from the dataset (which is also impossible, given that the report refreshes in under five minutes on my desktop, with all columns present).Databricks ADBC connector for Power BI and Microsoft Fabric (Generally Available)

Opt in per connection using Implementation="2.0" The fastest way to compare ADBC and ODBC for a specific report or dataset. Add the Implementation="2.0" option to the source step in your Power Query expression: Source = Databricks.Catalogs("adb-1234567890.1.azuredatabricks.net", "/sql/1.0/warehouses/<warehouse-id>", [Implementation="2.0"]) Refresh the dataset and compare row counts, column types, and totals against your production baseline. Override the default for a validation workspace If you want to validate several reports together, a workspace admin can turn ADBC on for a single workspace while the rest of the tenant continues to use the legacy driver. Publish the reports you want to test into that workspace and run your normal refresh schedule. 3. Data Explorer glitched on scroll
Good afternoon, everyone! I've been experiencing some issues with the Data pane in Power BI Desktop. Whenever I scroll up or down, the panel glitches, causing the list of tables and fields to freeze or stop updating visually. I've already tried repairing the installation, reinstalling Power BI Desktop, updating to the latest version, and updating my graphics drivers, but none of these attempts have resolved the issue. Has anyone experienced something similar or found a solution? I've attached a video demonstrating the issue. In the video, I first scroll up, wait for the glitch to disappear, and then scroll down. As you can see, the problem persists in both directions. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Power BI Desktop MySQL Connection Error: “The requested value 'None' was not found”
Hello everyone, I'm experiencing an issue when trying to connect Power BI Desktop to a MySQL database, and I'm looking for help identifying the cause and finding a solution. My environment: Power BI Desktop: 64-bit, version 2.157.1354.0 (August 2026) MySQL Connector/NET: 26.7.0 Issue: When I select the MySQL database connector, enter the server address and database name, and click OK, Power BI displays the following error: The requested value 'None' was not found. The connection works normally from another MySQL client, so the database server is accessible and I can connect to it outside Power BI. I have also checked Power BI's Data Source Settings. There is an existing entry for the MySQL server, and the authentication method is set to Database (MySQL username and password). Additionally, I checked the registered .NET data providers in Windows PowerShell, and MySql.Data.MySqlClient appears in the list. So far, I have not cleared the saved credentials, reinstalled the connector, or made any administrative changes to the computer. My questions: Could this error be caused by an incompatibility between Power BI Desktop and MySQL Connector/NET 26.7.0? Is there a recommended Connector/NET version for this version of Power BI Desktop? Could this be related to the MySQL connector's authentication settings, driver registration, or SSL configuration? Is there a way to obtain more detailed error logs to identify the root cause? I would appreciate any suggestions or troubleshooting steps that could help resolve this issue without requiring unnecessary changes to the computer's configuration. Hello, I would like to understand the conditions under which the following notification is displayed in the Teams Activity feed: “Check out a report frequently opened by your colleagues” We use Power BI reports embedded in SharePoint. The reports are shared with a broad group of users, while data access is restricted to specific business users by using Row-Level Security (RLS). However, users who are not responsible for the business process received this notification in Teams Activity. Could you please clarify the following? 1. What conditions trigger this notification, and how is “frequently opened” determined? 2. We understand that Power BI–Teams integration can be disabled at the tenant level. Can it also be disabled for individual workspaces? 3. If not, is there a way to disable only this notification for individual workspaces? Thank you.
Tooltips suddenly not displaying
I've got a report with lots of tooltips that have always worked in the past. For the last few weeks, they haven't been displaying in the Service, although everything works perfectly in Power BI Desktop. I tried switching from report page tooltips to standard tooltips, but that didn't make a difference. They still work on other reports, just not this one. Does anyone have any idea why?
Power BI Workspace Tags/Domains availability in GCC/GCCH environment
Hi community, I'm currently working on Tags in Microsoft Fabric and Domains governance. I would like to clarify the official support status of workspace tags and domains in GCC/GCCH environment. 1. In GCC, cannot find the settings of Tags and Domains in Admin portal 2. In GCCH, both settings are available in Admin portal. A workspace can now be assigned to a domain but cannot be assigned with Tags. Could anyone from the Microsoft Fabric team or the community help clarify the following questions? 1.Are workspace tags and domains officially supported in GCC and GCC High? 2. Is there any official Microsoft documentation, release note, or roadmap entry that explicitly describes these limitations in both environments? I would appreciate any official documentation or confirmation from the Microsoft Fabric team. Thank you for your help!

Title: Power BI Matrix — How to Show Subtotal Only at StudentID Level, Not StudentName Level? I am using Power BI Desktop October 2026, version 2.159.883.0 (64-bit). My Matrix visual has: Rows: StudentID → StudentName → Subject Values: Total Marks My data model contains a student master table and a student transaction table, related by StudentID. I want to show: StudentID 101 subtotal = 258 StudentID 102 subtotal = 166 StudentID 103 subtotal = 180 StudentName subtotal should not appear Subject-level marks must remain visible Grand total = 775 I enabled Row subtotals and used Apply settings to → Per row level. However, when I select StudentName and turn Show subtotal off, the StudentID subtotal also disappears. How can I achieve this in my Power BI version? Please provide the exact navigation for this version or a verified alternative. I can provide screenshots and a sample PBIX file if needed.
