I am trying to control what charts in a report are affected by a slicer. Currently the slicer affects all visualizations (charts/graphs/etc.)
But I cannot find the "visualizations interaction" icon. It isn't on the screen.
What stupid mistake am I making?
@dpenny In the Service, you must first click on the slicer, then select "Visual Interactions" in the header. This will pop up the icons around corresponding visuals and allow you to turn off the filtering action of the slicer.
Not totally true.
I figured out that Visualization icon does not show unless you have browser (IE11) screen maximized which I NEVER do.
I "tile" my browsere screens as I need/use/create them and never max any of them. The icon does not show for me, and furthermore, the elipssis (....) does not bring it up either.
Hey MS, fix this bug. I've spent ~5 hrs trying to figure this out.
Hi @dpenny,
I also tested it on my side, the Visual Interaction icon can be shown without having IE11 screen maximized.

"can be shown" - well I just tried for maybe the 10th time, and YES, it is shown but you have no idea what it is.
1) there is no "tool tip" - thus I could not find it. Whereas if screen is max'd then a title appears under the icon.
2) And furthermore, the "slicer" has to be selected before the icon does anything.
1&2 make it close to impossible to to "self discover" how to use the viz interaction.
Hi @dpenny,
Yes, I agree with you. In order to refine the icons for selection, I would suggest you to submit your requirement on Power BI Ideas and vote it up to improve Power BI and make it better.
Regards
@dpenny I never thought to think it was a browser issue... huh, well - it also works on Chrome, which is what I validated on.
