how do I do this for auto-generated report? It has been created by the 'usage metrics'-feature

You can refer this to konw how to configure usage metrics report credentials:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-modern-usage-metrics#update-usage-metrics-report-credentials

After configure usage metrics report credentials, please check if the issue is solved.
