usage metrics

Hi Guys,

 

Great job with the advanced usage metrics (released 30 August) for dashboards. How does it work for embedded content?

Actually its the only item we need to check before we plunge into premium subscription as you have already released the drill through option.

      Power BI Embedded. We have embedded the dashboards in our custom ERP for a wider audience. We need to go for Premium services for
      a. improved performance
      b. usage metrics

        Hi bikram_laishram

         

        I honestly am not 100% sure, due to if you are using Power BI Embedded, a Power BI User is potentially not being used, because you can use Authentication Tokens into Power BI. So whilst the Power BI report exists in Power BI Service, I am not 100% sure what usage metrics will be detailed.

    Hi bikram_laishram,

     

    From this article, we can know that 'Usage metrics' will capture usage when you embed dashboards and reports, but not when you use publish to web.
