usage metrics for copy reports

When you copy a report to another workspace, it becomes a new artifact, so it does not carry over any usage metrics, and metrics are tracked separately per report within its workspace/app context. There’s no built-in way to merge or share usage data between the original and the copy; each will only show metrics after users access that specific version (and only if you have the right permissions and the feature is enabled).
So also no metrics in the copy report? And no workarounds to get the metrics? i read for example that microsoft purview also contains audit logins?
