refresh all power bi reports

To track your daily and monthly activities in Azure Data Factory or Synapse, as well as monitor the status of Power BI refreshes, it’s important to use a thorough approach. With Azure Data Factory or Synapse, you can monitor pipeline executions using REST API and Log Analytics, allowing you to see whether each job has succeeded, failed, or been cancelled. This information can then be imported into Power BI.

 

For Power BI, it is key to note that while reports do not refresh, datasets (also called semantic models) do refresh as lbendlin noted earlier. So, to check if every dataset in your workspace is successfully refreshed, you will need to use the Power BI REST API- Get Refresh History as mentioned by GeraldGEmerick .

 

In addition to that , if you want to create a complete monitoring solution, combine the pipeline run details from ADF or Synapse with the dataset refresh history from Power BI, then load and summarize this data in Power BI for reporting. This will give you a clear overview of both ETL pipeline results and dataset refresh status, so you can confirm successful data loads.
