Hi all,
since one week i have a night crash of some power bi reports in power bi service and i get the following message:
Data source error {"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_AdoNetProviderExecuteQueryTimeoutError","pbi.error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_AdoNetProviderExecuteQueryTimeoutError","parameters":{},"details":[],"exceptionCulprit":1}}} Table: DURATION.
First i though it is because my sql view DURATION has a bad performance but it runs under a minute. And the refresh in power bi desktop is no problem.
Does anyone have an idea why this might be or what i could check?
Best regards
That is really strange. I have two Reports where the loading prozess stops and both reports refer to the same table DURATION.
The SQL-View takes 53 Seconds. The performance analysis of the visuals based on this table show me maximum 17108 milliseconds in Power BI Desktop. That shouldnt be the cause.
I checked one Report in Power BI Desktop. I stoppend the refresh after 40 minutes. I noticed that the loading process for the DURATION table was quite slow. It loaded in 20 minutes approximately 8000 records while other tables loaded 20 million records. It has half a million records and the loading prozess would take to much time in this speed. Anyone has an idea why this table falls out of place?
Hi. Please check how much time the whole refresh takes. Also consider that the timeout it's not necessary from the table shown in the message. It can be that it took almost 2 hours to refresh a previous table and when it started with duration it failed. Check each table performance. For some reason, a table or the whole refresh is exceeding the time limits for the refresh.
I hope that helps,
Happy to help!
