Hi All, I have a problem with what users are seeing when i share a dashboard - I'm not a pro-user and no one in my organisation is - I've shared a dashboard but selected "do not send invite e-mail" and instead have sent the link by email myself. All users can login, but more than half the users, when they have clicked the link and gone through the login process are taken to the wrong page - not the dashboard - instead they see the "Welcome to PowerBI" screen with options for Content Pack Library (My Organisation, Services) and Import or Connect to data (Files, Databases). Most affected users are then able to close this page and re-open the link, and are taken to the dashboard while others consistently see this page. Less than half the users are taken straight to the dashboard first time. This is highly frustrating as I'm trying to prove PowerBI to my organisation as a tool that will be of benefit but so far it is causing issues among the user population.
@clynagh I would suggest you create a request here
I would vote for it, as I typically implement corporate implementations as well. But one thing I will point out, is that un-like other reporting solutions, Power BI is first and foremost an end user tool. So the default screen that all the users are seeing is designed to be that way due to the fact that they have no data sets in their workspace yet. And the first thing you need to do before anything is connect to a data source. The default screen is the same as what you see when you click "Get Data".
The request I would get behind would be such that if a Dashboard is shared with the end user, it should remove that default screen and show them their workspace.
Not intuitive or a solution, but the user should just be able to click on Power BI on the top left and navigate to their workspace.
