custom visual which premium licence

PowerBI Premium and custom visual, which license do we need?

 

We have a PBI Premium environment and we want to code a custom visual in R or Python.

The question is if all consumers need a Pro licence to see this visual in the Report?

    Hi Anonymous ,

     

    The rule of thumb is that if somebody wants to see a visual, they have to have a license.  They can have a PRO license, a PPU license or be assigned a license from a Premium license.  But, to see a visual they need a license (if they are seeing it via the Service).  Whether the visual is custom or not, the licensing stays the same.

     

    In your case, since you have Premium, just assign that person a license.
