Hi Everyone,
I have a question. I'm not sure whether this can be achieved or not. One of our power bi report in power bi service almost full size and we need to do something to keep the report updated.
Is there any way we can build dashboard from two different power bi desktop / sql without uploading the table / data in the same power bi desktop?
In other words, currently we have one report and multiple tables on it and the size in power bi service for the dataset / report is almost full. So we plan to separate the tables into two different power bi dataset and create visualization which can read without having all data in the same dataset / reports.
Thank you.

Hi @hafchez ,
Yes, it is possible to build a dashboard from two different Power BI Desktop files or SQL databases without uploading the tables/data into the same Power BI Desktop file. You can create separate datasets in Power BI Desktop for each data source, and then create a dashboard in Power BI Service that combines the visualizations from both datasets.
To do this, you can follow these steps:
By following these steps, you can create a dashboard that combines the visualizations from both datasets without having to upload the tables/data into the same Power BI Desktop file. This can help to reduce the size of the dataset/report in Power BI Service and improve performance.
