XMLA endpoint issue
Hi Safuvanc ,
There could be several reasons why you’re encountering this error. Here are some possible solutions:
Check your network connectivity: Ensure that you have a stable internet connection and that the external user is able to connect to the XMLA endpoint. If the external user is unable to connect, it could be due to a firewall or network issue.
Check your credentials: Ensure that you have the correct credentials to connect to the XMLA endpoint. If you’re using a service principal, ensure that the application identity information is specified in the connection string as User ID=<app:appid@tenantid> Password=<application secret>.
Check the XMLA endpoint settings: Ensure that the XMLA endpoint is enabled on both Power BI Premium, Premium Per User, and Power BI Embedded capacities. If you’re encountering an error while trying to set the XMLA Endpoint to Read/Write, try limiting the memory consumption of other services on the capacity or upgrading the capacity to a larger SKU.
Check your environment variables: If you’re using SSMS 19 and encountering an error while logging into the XMLA endpoint, create an environment variable named with a value of MS_AS_EnforceAdalUsage 1.
