I have Power BI pro license and I've published the report with direct query connection mode. On Power BI Service when i see in dataset options. Schedule refresh button is showing, since direct query refresh/fetch the data set on visual interaction/filter selection then why shedule refresh option is available.
Is it ok if i leave it as it is?
Will it refresh the whole dataset after few time/hours automatically?
Solved! Go to Solution.
With DirectQuery you will see the Scheduled cache refresh option, which is used for refreshing the cached data of the visuals.
You can set that to refresh up until every 15 minutes if you want.
As the info says, you can also refresh a specific tile any time.

Ah, that mixed mode explains why you don't see the option, that's perfectly fine. The gateway datasource does need to be there, you don't have to set a refresh schedule for DirectQuery.
So you should be fine I think.

I'm not seeing Schedule Cache Refresh option availabe on Dataset setting.
Does it need any gate way to run?
Let me clear my model is actually based on mix mode. Facts are using direct query from azure sql and some hard code tables i ahve created. Is that the actuall reason? i can go with Direct query for all tables.
