When will uploading Excel data be enabled to create an online Power BI report?
I use both Tableau Public and Power BI online to create visuals. With Tableau I"m able to create a report online in a web browser uploading Excel data. In the online version of Power BI, create new report, the caption says "Looking for Excel? We're adding soon..." This message has been displayed for months and I"m wondering when I can create an online Power BI report by uploading Excel data.
you can do it using dataflow so far, you can conect a dataflow to your file location inside de gateway server or local pc, and access the file as source in the power query by the dataflow

Thank you very much. Your reply pointed me in the right direction and after further research I was able to find information on workspaces and how to import data.
