What are the ways of changing data source from dev to itg to prod in power bi reports

Hi Experts,

 

Please could you help me with what are the ways to change the data source setting from dev to itg to prod.

Hi @Heena_9980400 ,

 

If the tables are the same (which they should be since these should be copies of each other...)  then this is quite simple.   I first do a "save as" and name the non-prod ones with the source on them (itg, dev ) and so the production one has the real name without that designation.

 

Then,  go into the file,  options, data source settings and select the data source you want to change. Select change datasource button and then put in the new path. 

 

Save the change, select apply changes , refresh if you want and then publish.
