Visuals Not Refreshing In Power BI Service
Hi sandeepsai! Thank you for this answer because I think too that this was the issue! As I noticed the formats of what got published to Service, one is a data set and the other is a report. I noticed under the ‘dashboards’ tab, there’s nothing listed. And I was wondering if that was the issue, that technically its not a dashboard and that’s why the visuals don’t update. Thank you for this information about the distinction between dashboards and reports.
My goal is simply to create a dashboard of data quality or key metrics, and have these dashboards refreshed daily/weekly. I want these dashboards accessed via PowerBI Service and when the scheduled refresh goes through, the user should see the dashboard’s data up to date and current.
How I started was I created KPI cards in PowerBI in effort to try to make a dashboard. The data quality bar graphs which is the issue I posted about, are bar charts. But the issue will be common with both, since I created both in Desktop and want the visuals to be refreshed on daily/weekly basis on Service. What you’re saying is I need to create these dashboards in Service. Is your recommendation to create from scratch in Service or as you say, I have my report published in Service now and pin visuals or entire report pages to create a true dashboard?
Thank you,
Hi bipowerbi , hello sandeepsai and Singamshetty994, thank you for your prompt reply!
According to your description, the visuals on the page are not refreshing and the refresh issue is not related to the dashboard or report page.
Please check the refresh history of the senmatic model for more clues:

Joyce
