Hi,
About the visualize this view functionality in D365/PowerApps, what are the pros and cons? What would be the impact against dataverse when hundreds of users start to implement their Power BI reports using visualize this view? What about data security, when using Power BI login information during the creation of the report?
It would be nice to hear your opinion about this.
Thanks in advance!

Hi , @BL_consultant
Based on my research and query, visualize this view functionality in D365/PowerApps is a feature that allows users to create Power BI reports from a view in Dynamics 365 or PowerApps. The pros of this feature are that it allows users to create reports quickly and easily, without having to manually create the report from scratch. The cons are that the reports created using this feature may not be as customizable as reports created manually, and may not be as performant.
Regarding the impact against Dataverse when hundreds of users start to implement their Power BI reports using visualize this view, it is important to note that Dataverse has a limit on the number of API requests that can be made per second. If hundreds of users are creating reports using this feature, it could potentially impact the performance of Dataverse.
Regarding data security, when using Power BI login information during the creation of the report, it is important to ensure that the login information is secure and not shared with unauthorized users. It is recommended to use Azure Active Directory (AAD) to manage user access to Power BI reports and dashboards.
Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!

Hi @v-yueyunzh-msft,
Thanks for your reply. Based on my research, I agree with you. The limit of API requests was a great point, I did not even thought about that.
I would add also the term "data swamp", i.e. using this feature we potentially could have multiple reports based on the same thing and at least from my point of view that is not a good thing at all.
What would be your opinion about of large scale of using the visualize this view? I would say that this is a good functionality for basic D365/PowerApps user to quickly create a PoC and make a request to build the actual Power BI solution separately. But using this as organzation wide tool I would say that it is not the best option.
Hi, @BL_consultant
I agree with you because according to my previous reply, Dataverse has a limit on the number of API requests that can be made per second. If hundreds of users use this function to create reports, it may affect the performance of Dataverse, so if you are considering the risk of user access during peak hours affecting the data source, I suggest you consider this solution again or in Dataverse Find ways to increase some limits, or upgrade the limit size.
Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!
