I am using various slicers to make a report. I have a project status which contains where the project is in the bid stage, a project manager which is all the various project managers and then a slicer based on all the Sales reps we have.
My sales rep slicer shows a long list of people that do not even have projects in the data. Is there a way to make the slicer change based on the other slicers. Ex. When I click on a project manager, it would eliminate all of the Sales reps that do not have any projects with that project manager.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Is the Project manager and Sales rep from a same table? Is so it should filter automatically. Otherwise, you should have the filter direction set in the data model that should go from Project manager table to Sales rep table.
Also, check for visual intereaction is set to filter between the slicers.
If it helps, mark it as a solution
Kudos are nice too.
Thanks for reaching out. I needed to manage the relationship and allow both directions on filtering.
