Users receiving error message accessing shared dashboard

"Your Power BI Session Expired, the current Power BI session can no longer be used to communicate with the Power BI service because of a service modification. You must close and re-open your browser to start a new session"

It started happening for a few users.  Refreshing, clicking OK to the error message multiple times does not resolve the issue.

Hey @LW_NSG ,

This is one of those messages that could be from a number of different issues.

One of the potential issues could be that the report is sharing from My Workspace.  If so, try a "public" workspace.

This could be that the report is not actually shared with the users (and/or they don't have the permissions to see it).

Another issue could be that the user is not signed into the browser with the same userid that has the PRO license to access it.

Is this embedded?  If so, does the person have the permissions to the tool that it is embedded within?

Is this being done through Power Automate?  If so, is that flow working and updating and does it have unique permissions?

Have the users actually cleared their browser cache to confirm that it is not in fact their browser?

Does the report have a customized tile or non-certified tile and your Admin Portal disallows this?

let us know!
