Usage metrics: Report page views

Power BI counts the number of times a report page is viewed using the "Report Page Views" in the metrics. This count is based on active events in ViewReport, in Power BI service.

Only users with admin, member, or contributor permissions can view the usage metrics report. Viewer permissions aren't enough. If you are at least a contributor in a workspace in which your report resides, you can use the following procedure to display the usage metrics:

1. Open the workspace that contains the report for which you want to analyze the usage metrics.

2. From the workspace content list, select More options (...) for the report and select View usage metrics report.

If you refresh your browser while viewing a report, this is likely to be counted as an additional Report Page View because the activity event is triggered again. However, this behavior may depend on a variety of factors, such as browser settings and whether an ad blocker is activated.
Note that the usage metrics depend on the web browser that is allowed to send details to the Power BI service. If the browser has a blocker or ad blocker, it may not be able to send the details. If you want to get the correct usage details for your report, you may need to get them from the event log.
