Hi,
I'm tracking my report views according to Usage Metrics. But I found the data lost from Nov 20 to Dec 11.
I already check the limitations for usage metrics, but I'm sure the data did lose.
My data is stored in North Europe (Ireland).
-- My question --
1. Is this a know issue for Usage Metrics not updating some days?
2. If I want track my report views, is there other way to access the data except Usage Metrics? e.g. some web service?
Many thanks!
Miranda
Hi @yumhao,
From this document, the usage metrics report only includes reports (or dashboards) that have been accessed in the past 90 days. If a report (or dashboard) does not show up, likely it hasn't been used in more than 90 days. Please check if this is the cause. Apart from using Usage Metrics, please try Audit logs which might be helpful in some aspects.
Best regards,
Yuliana Gu
Hi Yuliana,
All my testing reports have been access in the past 90 days. And I'm sure some of my clicks are NOT captured in the Usage Metrics report.
According to the document, Audit logs can access user activities like "Viewed Power BI dashboard", "Viewed Power BI report". Will it count if users view report via Power BI apps link instead of via Power BI Workspace?
Thanks,
Miranda
Hi @yumhao,
If you have ensured that you didn't hit any other "Considerations and limitartions" mentioned in above link, this might be a problem to Usage Metrics itself. You could create a support ticket for further analysis.
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
