Usage Metric doesn't show all users

Hi,

I recently created a Power BI report and I monitor the usage metric to ensure that my users are actively using the report. This helps me determine if the report is effective. I noticed a few users within my organization that are using the report because they ask me questions regarding the report, but the usage metric does not show their name or the data in the usage metric dashboard. Did anybody else notice this issue? And is their a solution for it?

Thanks,

Nirav

Hi @Anonymous ,

Could you please share more details to us?

  • How do the users view your reports? Are they in the workspace? If yes, what access do you set to them? If no, do you share the report to them directly?
  • The usage metrics can take up to 24 hours for data to update. Do you check it again?

Best Regards,

Xue Ding

Hi @v-xuding-msft,

Thank you for responding. All the users access the report through the workspace. I also have provided them with "read and reshare" access through the Share button on the report's toolbar.

I have been looking over a week time period to see if their names show up, and I still do not see their names.

I hope my answers help you. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Kind Regards,

Nirav
