Hello,
I uploaded a dataset to OneDrive - Business. In Power BI, I clicked "Get Data", then the Files "Get" button, then OneDrive - Business, selected the appropriate dataset, and then chose "Import Excel data into Power BI." Afterwards, I was able to create reports using the dataset.
When I make changes within the OneDrive Excel spreadsheet and click "Refresh" within Power BI, the Fields themselves update, but all graphics that reference a changed field display the error message "Something's wrong with one or more fields," forcing me to then delete the graphics and recreate them with the updated data.
What am I doing wrong? I thought Power BI would automatically refresh and incorporate any changes to the underlying dataset automatically. Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi,
I can’t reproduce your issue. Can you tell us what changes you have made on your data ?
Best Regards
Alex
@mgerken Are you changing column and object names? If so, the visuals won't automatically update in this fashion. You shouldn't have to delete the visual, just swap out the old column name with the new one that was altered.
