Anyone else expierince the inability to assign a new user as the power bi embedded capacity administrator? Currently my setup is a little complex. There are two Azure subscriptions involved in my power bi embedded integration. (1) the azure subscription that hosts the users and the Power BI Pro licenses and (2) the azuer subscription that hosts the power bi embedded capacity. This setup worked fine for years but recently, I needed to change the user assigned as the power bi embedded "capacity administrator" and unfortunetly, now it will NOT allow me to set any user (from either of the two subscriptions). Any pointers would be appreciated. Dave

Hi @dvaccaro,
Thanks for contacting the Microsoft fabric community forum.
Role assignments may take some time to propagate. If the user was recently assigned the Owner role, please wait a bit and try again. you mentioned that there are two Azure subscriptions, ensure that there are no tenant-specific settings or restrictions that might be affecting the ability to assign the capacity administrator role.
If this helps then please Accept it as a solution and dropping a "Kudos" so other members can find it more easily.
Thanks.

Hello @dvaccaro,
What I’d do first is make sure the user has the Contributor or Owner role in the Azure subscription that hosts the Power BI Embedded capacity.
Then, double-check that the user is added as a Capacity Admin in the Power BI Admin Portal. If the two Azure subscriptions are tied to different tenants, add the user as a guest in the tenant hosting the capacity and give them the right roles through the Azure Portal.
Also I’d recommend looking at the Access Control (IAM) settings for the capacity resource to confirm everything is set up correctly.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the response. The users that I'm attempting to add is an "Owner" of the Power BI Embedded capacity and is also a co-administrator of the azure subscription. For some reason it just failes adding the user as a capacity administrator and simple errors with no ability to see the actual full error details.
