    Hi willayd 

     

    As far as I understand you would be able to do this on your dataset where the excel files are hosted.

     

    Also depending on where the excel files are hosted you might need to have the gateway installed.

    The excel files are hosted on Sharepoint. I don't think is the issue as everything works fine and is refreshable when using a normal dataset.  The issue seems specific to chained datasets

      Have you configure all credentials for power bi dataset and sharepoint files well? It works well based on my test:

        Hmm thanks for sharing. The credentials are set correctly as I can refresh manually. The one difference between my setup and yours based off of the screenshot is that my dataset is using the Web connector instead of sharepoint.
