    Hi frankiekho

To update the semantic model in Power BI Service without losing RLS:

    1. Update the Dataset: Open your Power BI Desktop file, correct the column mapping in Power Query, refresh, and re-publish the report. Ensure you overwrite the existing dataset in the Service.

    2. Reprocess in Service:

      • In Power BI Service, go to the Dataset Settings.
      • Trigger a manual refresh to synchronize the updated schema.
    3. Avoid Deleting: Do not delete the dataset in the Service; overwriting preserves RLS configurations.

This should resolve the column name issue without impacting RLS.
