Supported datasources for a template app

I try to create a template app to share soms data with external Power BI pro users. But i'm not sure which datasources are allowed. First I tried to create the template app bases on a dataset which ...

    Hi， kvissers 

    ‘Datasources supported for cloud scheduled refresh’ means  the data sources(data that isn't in the cloud) that you don't  need to configure gateway .

    According to the documentation, Azure sql should be supported.

Hi v-easonf-msft 


All of my reports using Azure SQL connection and don't use Pb Gateway.

However, I got the same error message when trying to create the app:

 

"Template apps must have one dataset. Please make sure one dataset is included in the app, and try again."

 

Can you help with some tips?

      I got it! 

       

      Known Limitation: Exactly one dataset should be present. Only datasets built in Power BI Desktop (.pbix files) are allowed.

       

      I was trying to create with multiples datasets 🙂
