Hello,
I'm using Power BI Desktop to integrate and report data from CRM Online and an onsite database. Creating visualizations and reports is no issue. However, I can only pin visualizations to a dashboard, and not the slicers that are included in the report. I want to share dashboards to my users for their review, but the visualizations themselves sans slicers will not "show the whole story." Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
@Matt_G you can pin a visual that is pre-filtered to show... although I haven't tested the updating of data under that. But the tile is really just the high level visual that gives the end user access to the report page where they can dig deeper using the slicers you have there. (That's current state/expected behavior)
@Matt_G Absolutely they can! Sharing a dashboard gives the end user access to see all pages of a report when you pin 1 visual to the dashboard. The tile just navigates to the page in which you pinned the visual from.
They can't see the report in the left hand navigation, or edit the report, but they can access it via the Dashboard tile you pin.
