Should I create new report directly on power bi service

Hi all.

I usually create reports in power BI desktop, then publish them to power BI service.

Now I want to create report right on power BI service without power bi desktop.

Between these two ways, which one is better? which one is recommended?

Hi @nphdiem95

I would always suggest doing it via the Power BI Desktop, this allows you to bring in multiple sources of data.

It also allows you to use the Query Editor to shape your data and add additional information easily.

And finally you can also create your own custom measures in the Power BI model.

Once the above is done you can then create your reports and upload it to the Power BI Service.
