Sharing dashboards

Hi Everyone,

I had a question on sharing the Dashboard pages/tabs to specific users.

Is it possible in Power BI/Pro/Premium to share a specifc page within a Dashboard to the users while we share the other pages within the same dashboard to totally different set of users?

Thanks!
Ranjani

@Ranjani_m The dashboard will link directly to the entire report if your tile points there. The users of the dashboard will all see the same tiles and have access to the same reports. You can only control "what" they see on the report pages using RLS, but not "which" pages they see.

@Ranjani_m Sorry, acronyms. Row Level Security - when you apply  this to the model it will filter what the end users can see. You can make this a static, or dynamic implementation.

Hi all,

I have the same problem mentioned months ago.

I share a dashboard with someone outside my organization.

the user receives the invitation email, but:

- when he logs-in PowerBI.com, he don't see the shared report.

- when he click on the url to the shared reports, he sees a message saying that the report do not exists or no longer is available.

The person that shares the report, sees that the user don't have access (the message in the share-report option is "cancel invitation"). Other users in my organization are listed as "read and share again".

The person is outside my organization.

His company have a E3 subscription, so he don't have access to E5, that is needed for PowerBI Pro.

he is enroled in the trial period for PowerBI Pro (60 days), and is listed as PowerBI Pro User.

Can anybody help me, please?

thank you,

Eladio

Hi,

Thank you very much for your reply. Could you please share your views on how to control "what they see" in the dashboard? Does RLS mean, Report Level sharing? Sorry if that was a silly question 🙂

Thanks!
