Set Alert option not visible

A colleague that is the owner of a dashboard and also has administrator rights is not seeing the 'Set Alert' option on his dashboard.  He is the owner of the dashboard and has admin rights in the wor...

    Hi ldwf ,

    Thanks for getting back and sharing the update Can you confirm if the dashboard tiles are pinned from a live report connection or a dataset? Sometimes, alerts won’t work if the tile is from a live connection like Analysis Services.Please check if the dataset used in the dashboard is in a Premium workspace but not connected through a DirectQuery live connection  alerts don’t work with certain live connections.

     Make sure that the dashboard is in a workspace where alerts are supported for example, personal workspaces (My Workspace) do support alerts, but live connections can stop them from appearing.
