Semantic model didn't connected
Hello
I am building a report, and the data for this report is connected to our company's global semantic model via OneLake and excel. However, when I try to publish this report to my workspace, an error message appears saying "not connected to one or more data source". I have already obtained the build permissions for this semantic model. And when I installed data gateway it also shows didn't connected as well. Could you please advise on what steps I should take next to successfully publish this report to my workspace?

Anonymous , based on the details you shared, the issue comes up because your report is built as a composite model, combining the global semantic model with Excel. When such a report is published, the semantic model in the service will try to connect to both sources. Since Excel is not in the service by default, a data gateway is required.
One option is to install the On-premises Data Gateway (personal mode), then go into the semantic model(dataset) settings, enable your personal gateway under gateway connections, and map the Excel data source in the semantic model to the gateway. This allows the service to access the file.

Another approach is to avoid using the gateway by placing the Excel file in SharePoint or OneDrive. If you connect to the file from there, the service can reach it directly without any gateway configuration.
Once the Excel connectivity is resolved, the dataset should work as expected in the service.
