Semantic Model not properly refreshing
To future visitors, the fix was to either
- go to the semantic model (Lakehouse > SQL Analytics Endpoint > Default semantic model settings > turn on Sync the default model. The model will update when you add more rows of data to your tables
- or create a new custom semantic model with your desired tables. It will auto update
Hi alee023 ,
Adding new columns involves changes to the schema, which cannot be refreshed in the service. More details can be found in the documentation: Data refresh in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn.
Also, I found a similar case, maybe you can refer to it. Solved: Re: How do I automate PowerBI Semantic model schem... - Microsoft Fabric Community
If your Current Period does not refer to this, please clarify in a follow-up reply.

To clarify, I'm not adding additional columns or changing the schema of the table. I'm adding more rows of data to the table.

I have the exact same issue with zero changes .. IN facy the EXACT Power BI DataWarehouse, Power BI PBIX file with one report works perfectly on another account in Powert BI just fine. The ONLY different is the name of the data source whicih ois the
"blahblablahblahblah.datamart.fabric.microsoft.com" Connection string. That's it and that's all ??
Any resolution on this by now?
Thanx

For me, the solution was this: "go to the semantic model (Lakehouse > SQL Analytics Endpoint > Default semantic model settings > turn on Sync the default model".

I am not using a Lake House .. Just a standard Power BI Datamart with Excel File sources.
