Semantic Model not Refreshing online, only in Desktop

Based on the error message you provided, I checked the relevant problem documents, it seems like the error is related to privacy levels for each data source.

You can follow my steps below to troubleshoot if the issue is caused by inconsistent "Privacy setting" settings:

1.Open the corresponding PBI desktop local file first, and go to File->Option and settings->Options->Privacy and choose the first option

2.Then go to Data Source Settings and make sure that the Privacy setting settings of all data sources connected to your dataset are consistent

3.After configuring the Power Bi desktop, you can republish and try to reconfigure the data source definition for the data source of the related dataset to ensure that the Privacy level configured on the Service is consistent with that of the Desktop.

If the above methods cannot help you troubleshoot the problem, you can provide your detailed error information so that we can better help you solve the problem.

Hi, I did not have the option to change settings in privacy above but I did find it helpful to first change the individual data source privacy settings to Organizational instead of None. Then I updated and reconfigured the gateway and it worked. Thanks!
