Hi @agwalsh1812,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

We appreciate the valuable insights shared by @arvindsingh802. Those were good points. To add further clarity:

Possible Causes may be:

  • If the credentials for your data source have expired, Power BI will disable the scheduled refresh or if someone else took over the dataset, they may need to reconfigure the connection.

Steps to Fix the error:

  • In Power BI Service, navigate to Settings > Manage Connections and Gateways.
  • Under Data source credentials, check if any sources need re-authentication. Click Edit credentials, enter the necessary details, and save.
  • If you're using an on-premises data source, ensure the Power BI Gateway is running and correctly configured.
  • Once credentials are updated, turn scheduled refresh back on.

If this helps, then please Accept it as a solution and dropping a "Kudos" so other members can find it more easily.
Thank you.

Possible causes
1. Existing credentials expired
2. Someone take over the dataset but have not configured the connection
To fix - In dataset setting configure the data source credentials correctly and you should be good.
