Hi,
I recently installed a PowerBI Gateway to stream data from an on-premises SQL Server to my dataset at powerbi.com. During the gateway selection at powerbi.com, at 'Scheduled Refresh', I selected the 15-minute interval for refreshing my data, as can be seen here:
After reinstalling my Gateway a couple weeks later (due to an error), I noticed the options are now limited to 'Daily' and 'Weekly':
Can someone tell me why this changed? I really need a shorter interval than 'Daily' for my clients to have a useful dashboard.

It is caused by the connection mode. For the first pic, the dataset is DirectQuery mode. So we can configure refresh frequency. However, for Import mode, we just can configure the specific datatime, like below. You could add the time to refresh 8 times in one day.
