Scheduled refresh error – missing credentials option

Hello, I’m experiencing an issue with the dataset Monitoramento O&M Solar v2 in Power BI. When I try to refresh, I get the following error:

“Data source error: Scheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to the dataset settings page and enter credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate scheduled refresh.”

Technical details:

  • Cluster URI: WABI-NORTH-EUROPE-E-PRIMARY-redirect.analysis.windows.net

  • Activity ID: 5b67db21-f45a-42c5-f3fd-8ed2c444d098

  • Request ID: 4b9cc22c-4298-cfd4-415f-5ea3520094c2

  • Time: 2026-04-23 17:15:42Z

The problem is that on the dataset settings page, the option to enter or update credentials does not appear, so I cannot fix the issue or re-enable scheduled refresh.

Has anyone faced this situation before or knows how to restore the credentials option in the settings?

Thanks in advance!

  • Hey wellingtonascim ,

There could be a few problems here - are you the dataset owner?  If you are then you need to confirm that the credentials are correct on the dataset.  OR, the data source doesn't include you?  OR, the gateway is not set?  OR, is this dependent on a dataflow and those credentials need to be updated and/or you need to be added to being a user of it?  OR, is this is a direct query and you do not have access to the data source itself?  OR, is there a token that has expired (which I don't think is in this case due to the error message)?

Thank you for your help and for the detailed explanation! I’ll review the credentials, gateway configuration, and access permissions as you suggested.
