Scheduled Refresh with URL Parameters

Hi there,

I have multiple tables which are all referencing the same Salesforce Org as their source.

To facilitate this, I have used a Parameter with the Org URL, and referenced that in each query.

This has worked well in the desktop refresh, however is preventing me from adding a scheduled refresh in Service due to it being a 'hand-authored query'.

Does anyone have a work-around for this?

Thanks

Hi @suziecameron ,

You can use the Personal Gateway to schedule the refresh of a dataset that uses a hand-authored query. To do this, you need to make sure that you have Python and/or R installed on the machine where you have the Personal Gateway.

You can follow the steps : Use Python in Power BI Power Query Editor - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

After publishing the PBIX file to the service, you can bind the dataset to the Personal Gateway and edit the credentials under Data source Credentials. Then, you can refresh the dataset and see the refresh completed successfully.
