Scheduled Refresh with Incremental Refresh

Hi!!!

I'm already post a question about this but now I'm done many tests in different enviroments an I get the same result my scheduled refresh take 10min aprox but on deman is about 2min.

My tests:

- DDBB: MySQL & SQL Server

- For both my parameters are named "RangeStart & RangeEnd".

- The incremental setting is the following: (my data starts in March of this year until today)

NOTE: although it shows the qlert that the query folding cant be verify in the last steps the option of native query is activated.

Captura de pantalla (21)_LI.jpgBut I dont Know if I set something wrong because after the first refresh the sheduled refresh longer than on-demand refresh.

I assume that if the on-demand efresh now takes 2 minutes and when the incremental update had not been implemented it took 10min scheduled or on-demand I understand that the configuration is working ... what I don't understand is why the scheduled updates keep taking 10 minutesss.

Hi there

Very often the scheduled refreshes can take longer because they have to go into a queue before they can actually be refreshed.

With the data only taking 10 minutes to complete I would think that should be fine.

How often is the dataset being refreshed?

Hi @GilbertQ

This dataset is refreshed 5 times a day per 3 different reports.

It confuses me a little bit because the incremental refresh is taking the same time than before de implementation it.

Hi there

If it is taking the same time did you configure all the steps for incremental refreshing?

And also can your source do the query folding which allows for incremental refreshing?

Hi!!!

I guess so because I followed this documentation: https://docs.microsoft.com/es-es/power-bi/admin/service-premium-incremental-refresh and use this methods to verify if my source allow the query folding:
